I found this quote interesting as it alludes to the Nature vs Nature concept, except caution takes place instead of nature and the basis runs that caution, or “nuture” was created out of nature. And I thought of it in regards to how Janie was raised firstly as she rejects the ideals of Nanny and vice versa as Nanny rejects the ideals of Janie. Both characters strong and stubborn in consideration of the life they yearn for, as Nanny projects her dreams through Janie.
